I was in NYC last month. On the third day, I went to Turntables on the Hudson at Water Taxi Beach on the East River. It takes place on some converted wasteland that has been turned into a beach and is separated from Manhattan only by a chain mesh fence and the Hudson River. As the sun went down, everything turned an amazing shade of pink and the Manhattan skyline took on an altogether different appearance. This lasted for about 30 minutes and was truly amazing.

I took this with a Canon Powershot SD900, but wish I’d had my 1D to hand. Candidate for blowing up onto canvas?
